A Chicago native, Stephen Young is known for his trend-setting and award-winning designs. After completing his degree in Architecture, Stephen apprenticed and worked alongside acclaimed Interior Architect Doug Nickless. There he gained an extensive knowledge of architectural detailing and furniture styles and periods. He went on to join the prestigious team at Kaufman Segal Design where he mastered the ability to combine form and function in a broad range of design styles. In 2013 Stephen established Stephen Young Design.

Stephen begins each project by outlining all design and financial expectations through a collaborative development procedure that provides clients with a comprehensive understanding of the process. His approach is both systematic and tailored, which ensures that the results deliver on both budget and style. He is known for designs that are as artistically innovative as they are functional.

Stephen received his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Architecture from Miami University in Oxford, OH. In his professional experience, Stephen has worked on both residential and commercial projects nationally, and has been featured in CS Modern Luxury Interiors Magazine, LUXE Chicago Magazine, Apartment Therapy, and on NBC’s Open House series. In 2015 he received the prestigious 'Ones To Watch' award presented by the Chicago Merchandise Mart Design Center.
